We’re already crossed the first quarter of 2017 and numbers for March look a lot different compared to the previous month. .GDN, which had the highest new gTLD adds for February, is now at number 2. We have a lot of new entrants such as .PARTY, .DATE, .LINK and .MEN to this month’s report. Let’s have a look at the infographic below for a breakdown of our top 15 TLDs for March.

- .TOP – China’s most popular new domain extension has moved from position 3 to position 1 for the month of March. It’s taken a massive chunk of 39% (as compared to just 5.6% in Feb) of total new gTLD adds across all our markets. The reason for the spike in adds was due to the special promo that we were running in March when .TOP was priced for a mere ¢90
- .GDN – .GDN’s momentum continues as it takes 9.1% of the total new gTLD adds across all our markets. As usual, the domain name is running for just $0.79 for the last 3 months and its performance surely reflects in our March report
- .XYZ – If you’ve been following our reports for a while, you must have noticed that .XYZ is not in its usual 2nd place. The lowly priced .TOP and .GDN have resulted in .XYZ taking the 3rd place, but the world’s most famous new gTLD is not far behind position 2, grabbing a total of 1271 adds for March
- .CLUB – As you can see, the extension was head-to-head with .XYZ and was priced at just $2.99 for March. .CLUB is expected to perform even better for the month of April. Did you know that celebrities of the likes of American hip-hop artist, 50-Cent and singer-songwriter, Demi Lovato have their own .CLUB domain?
- .SPACE – As usual, we have a Radix TLD in our top 5 monthly reports. The domain name has taken a total of 5.2% for March and was priced at just $1.69
