New gTLDs – The Game Changers
50 new gTLDs have been launched in their Sunrise Period, there are some truly exciting times ahead!
Here is how your customers benefit:
With new gTLDs your customers can register domains that are:
- More relevant
- Shorter and easy-to-remember
- Better categorized (by industry, reputation etc.)
- Reflective of and contributing to a coherent brand identity
- Enhanced credibility – in case of industry specific extensions that verify documentation
Registering a domain under a TLD with the above advantages can help boost their market exposure and give them a competitive edge.
For example, why let your customer settle for wildlifephotography.com, when you can offer him wildlife.photography or wildlife.photos, or even wildlife.camera!
What you need to do now:
Product Sign-up:
The first 50 new TLDs have been added to the platform to accept Sunrise registrations for trademark holders, and will appear in your Control Panel. If you have chosen to automatically sign-up for products, your account will be signed up to offer these TLDs immediately. If you have opted for manual sign-up, you must do so for all the TLDs you would like to offer.
You can offer the following seven new gTLDs BIKE, .CLOTHING, .GURU, .HOLDINGS, .PLUMBING, .SINGLES, and .VENTURES on General Availability prices starting from the 5th of February.
Changes to Pricing Setup:
In the Sunrise phase, a non-refundable application fee will be charged for each registration. To accommodate this, the system is now equipped to allow you to set your own application fee for those TLDs that are expected to carry this component.
Simply follow the below mentioned path to see the new TLDs in Sunrise and set your desired prices. The Sunrise phase has started from Monday, 20th January, 2014:
Settings > Manage Products and Pricing > Domain Registration > Manage TLDs or Manage Prices
From Monday, January 20th, Sunrise registrations have automatically become available on your Supersite.

Introducing the Wishlist for new gTLDs: 
While your customers can apply to register trademarked domain names during the Sunrise phase, they can also make use of our ‘wishlist feature’ to keep track of the launch progress of each new gTLD and the availability of their desired domain name(s). Your customers just need to follow these two easy steps:
- Enter domain name and select the extensions you are interested in
for e.g. “mydomain” - Add your desired domain name extensions to your Wishlist. Save them to their Wishlist. You can save and reload Wishlists as needed.
Your customers’ requests will be automatically tracked and they will be alerted about the launch of their desired extensions. Once saved, you and your Customers can always manage the Wishlist from the Control Panel, by pointing to:
For Resellers: Products > Domain Registration > New gTLD Wish-lists
For Customers: Manage Orders > New gTLD Wish-list
