We kick-started the year of 2018 with a lot of new gTLDs moving up their rank in our monthly report. While the popular ones retained their positions we also had a few new entrants to our list of leading domain names. The month of January saw an increase in the .TOP domain extension followed by the undisputed .XYZ. Here’s a summary of the leading domain extensions for the previous month :

- .TOP – .TOP has been on the list for quite some time and has secured a chunk of the total of new gTLDs registrations for the month of January. We also had a promo running for .top where we sold this domain extension at a discounted price of $0.95.
- .XYZ – This popular domain extension ranked number two on the list. .XYZ has been priced lower at $0.68 for the month compared to $0.99 as of last year.
- .ONLINE – .ONLINE bagged the third place in the month of January. The Radix gTLD was priced at $6 that led to the increase in sales for this domain extension.
- .GDN – .GDN has been a prominent gTLDs in the marketplace. .GDN was running at a promo price of $0.58 that got it up to the fourth place.
- .CLUB – This domain extension has been gradually performing well. There were no promos running for .CLUB and yet it managed to secure the fifth place.
The new entrants for the month was .ROCKS which had no promo running and was sold at $9.99 .LIFE and .PROMO has been on the rise intermittently with a promo of $3.13 running on .PROMO.
