June has been an exciting month in terms of numbers. There was one TLD that owned 95% of the percentage share! No prizes for guessing which extension that was. Take a look at the report below with the highlights:
1) .XYZ count soars with 2¢ promo: .XYZ is a very popular TLD – the highest selling new gTLD (according to ntld stats) and latest registration numbers were exceedingly high thanks to you. Since the .XYZ domain completed 2 years in the industry, the registry decided to sell the domain at an unbelievable price of 2¢ for 2 days (June 1st & 2nd) and the resulting numbers were astounding! For the rest of the month, .XYZ continued at a low price of 22¢ contributing to 95% of the domain registration numbers for June. We hope you were able to grab the extension at this amazing price.
2). TOP continues to perform well: The .TOP domain has been consistent in its performance, maintaining its position in the Top 3. The numbers can be attributed to the 49¢ promo on the extension since the beginning of this year.
3) .ONLINE moved up the ranking: .ONLINE which was in the 7th position in May has moved to the 3rd position. The promo price has dropped further from $5.99 to $2.99 in July so we expect to see the extension hold its position for the month of July as well.
4) Radix Anniversary Sale: As Radix celebrated their 2nd Anniversary this June, they had offers on 7 amazing TLDs – .WEBSITE, .SPACE, .HOST, .PRESS, .SITE, .TECH, and .ONLINE. The sale did exceedingly well: .SITE, .WEBSITE, .ONLINE, .HOST, .TECH and .SPACE have all made it to the list of Top TLDs for the month! That’s a whooping 6 TLDs to do so well from a single registry. .ONLINE, .WEBSITE, .SITE and .TECH have an even lower promo price in July so make sure you make the most of these popular extensions.
