The new gTLD standings are for October are here, and once again .TOP has taken the fair share of new gTLD adds for the month. .XYZ & .GDN continue to be a part of our top 5 domain extensions while .SITE moves up the ladder from the 15th to the 4th spot. As usual, Radix TLDs persistently form a part of our monthly new gTLD reports. We have 2 new entrants for October – .LIFE and .PROMO. - .TOP – Once again, .TOP has taken the biggest chunk of new gTLD adds. If you had a look at our previous month’s report, you would have noticed that .TOP made up for 71% of new gTLD adds. The domain extension has been the undisputed leader for the last 2 months. .TOP has taken such a large share is due to the promo price dropping from $1.99 to $0.99 September onwards
- .XYZ – The world’s highest gTLD by registration (according to ntldstats – 14th November 2017) has taken .CLUB’s position from the previous month. .XYZ has moved from number 3 to number to number 2 for October and has approximately taken 10% of total new gTLD registrations
- .GDN – The global domain name as it’s termed, has moved one spot further for October owing to the special promo price of ¢79 that’s been on since the start of 2017
- .SITE – Radix’s new gTLD has made a prominent leap from 15th to the 4th position as compared to the last month. Although there hasn’t been a drop in the price, .SITE managed to make it to our top 5 new gTLDs registrations for the month. Did you know that .SITE is Radix’s 2nd top performing TLD and that a total of 545,731 domains have been registered globally (according to ntldstats)?
- .ONLINE – We have another Radix TLD in our top 5 for the month – .ONLINE was previously at the 6th spot in September and has moved up a spot for October. The extension continues to run at a promo price of just $6.99
