HostingCon 2013
ResellerClub was at the hosting industry’s landmark annual event, HostingCon 2013, which took place at the heart of Austin, Texas this June from the 17th to the 19th. HostingCon gave us the opportunity to meet and interact with the eclectic mix that makes up the hosting community.
This year’s HostingCon brought together the hosting industry’s thought leaders, best technology solutions, services and practices in one giant congregation. It felt great to be a part of more than 1,900 attendees from all areas of the hosted services industry, from start-ups to global giants.
ResellerClub at HostingCon
ResellerClub had a booth in the most prime spot which was great as it allowed us to interact with a good number of people. There were some really great attendees this year and we’re looking forward to working with the new people we met.
In terms of the layout, the conference was splendid. It was really easy for the attendees to move about and explore all the booths at the conference.
Considering the size of the community, by day two, we were well acquainted with almost everyone at the conference.
The ResellerClub Booth
Our booth was right in the middle of the conference floor, in case you missed it (we seriously doubt that 🙂 ). This was our biggest presence in terms of size of the team from ResellerClub at HostingCon. It was totally worthwhile because it helped us understand better the growing trends in the industry and what our resellers want from us.
We had decided to go with a Roulette table for HostingCon 2013, and curiously enough it seemed to be the flavour of the season as several other booths also had gambling based games. A lot of people played at the ResellerClub roulette table and Craig Parker from OnRamp even won himself a cool new Macbook Pro by winning 2000+ chips!
Our Senior Manager Janki won an iPad mini at one of the giveaways too!
The networking parties post the day’s events were incredible and we enjoyed meeting all sorts of people from the rapidly growing hosting community. We got a chance to meet many of our resellers as well. We went bar hopping with them post the event and had a wide ranging chat about almost everything under the sun (from work to family to sport). Next year we plan to have more round tables with our customers, so book your tickets in advance!
